There is much
discussion today about whether or not Jesus died on the cross.
Because
the claims of Jesus the
Messiah are so critical and the sacrifice of His death is so
important to the decision we must all make about Jesus, we request
that you explore this question very honestly and sincerely.
Our emphasis here,
however, is on the question of why Jesus was crucified. Jesus
Himself gives us the answer: "For even the Son of Man did not
come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom
for many." (Mark
10:45)
It is truly
remarkable that the One who created everything would choose not only
to enter into our world but to give His life so that we could have
life! Is there something more to this than just a Christian
doctrine of forgiveness? Explore that question here: |
