In the
Holy Injil Jesus the Messiah proclaimed Himself to be the source of life and security through a
series of "I am" sayings. In some cases, the use of the words
"I am" drew a violent response from Jesus' Jewish hearers,
especially when they were given in response to questions about His
relationship to God.
I am the bread of life
John 6:35 (NIV) Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me
will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be
thirsty."
I am the vine
John 15:5 (NIV) "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I
in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." |
