No temptation has seized you except
what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be
tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will
also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
(1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV)
Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens
and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which
war against your soul.
(1 Peter 2:11 NIV)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in
view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy
and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not
conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
(Rom. 12:1-2 NIV)
Flee from sexual immorality. All
other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins
sexually sins against his own body.
