The A.R.P. Church

The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (A.R.P. Church) is one of the oldest Presbyterian denominations in the United States, with roots going back even further to 1560, with the preaching of John Knox, in Scotland.  For a detailed account of the history of the A.R.P. Church, see Centuries of Service to a Timeless Lord

The Associate Reformed Presbyterian  Church is "committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to the Bible as the Word of God."  The page What We Believe, at the A.R.P. Church website, explains the basic purpose of the A.R.P. Church and contains links to statements of belief.

The A.R.P. Church now consists of ten Presbyteries in North America and features congregations in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia, as well as in Canada.  Some of the cities where we have churches are Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Greensboro, NC, Gastonia, NC, Durham, NC, Columbia, SC, Greenville, SC, Spartanburg, SC.

Erskine College is the A.R.P. Church's denominational college and is located in Due West, SC.  Erskine Seminary is also located in Due West.

It has been the privilege of the A.R.P. Church to send laborers to other parts of the world as well.  Two of the historic missions of the A.R.P. Church are in Pakistan and Mexico, where there are many A.R.P. churches today.
